“Unity & Maturity In Christ”
Bayside Christian College Is More Than A School.

It is a community of committed families and dedicated staff partnering together in Christian education. We demonstrate our distinctive understanding of the world as Christians through genuine care and devotion to the wellbeing of others through connecting and serving.

“Until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”
Ephesians 4:13

Association & Board

Bayside Christian College Is Unique.

Unlike most Australian schools, which are operated by state governments or churches, our school is owned and governed by an Association of Christian parents. Local Christian parents established the Association for Christian Education of Frankston Inc., in 1980.

The Association serves the community by providing education which is honouring to God. Through high standard teaching and learning in a nurturing, stimulating and Biblically-directed environment, students grow in their understanding of God’s Word and in their commitment to serving Jesus Christ in all areas of life.

We invite Christians in our community to join our Association - parents, staff and alumni - who share with our founders a passion for Christian education in partnership with Christian parents.

Association members are the moral owners of our school, electing from among its members a Board of Directors. The Board sets the overall strategy and direction of the College, while day-to-day operations and planning are entrusted to the Senior Executive.

Our Board is comprised of the following Association members:

  • Troy Gaskell - Chair
  • Sam Kidney - Deputy Chair
  • John Kruiskamp - Treasurer
  • Denis Mahoney - Secretary
  • Rebekah Shelling

Get Involved

Concern For Community Is A Real Strength Of Bayside Christian College.

There are numerous opportunities for families to connect and serve in our community. We value the active involvement of our families in the life of the College because we know students thrive best when they are supported by a strong school community.

We invite our families to support the College community by getting involved in day-to-day College life, as well as in special community events such as sporting carnivals, morning teas, Mother's and Father's Day stalls, Grandparents' Day, musical productions, parent dinners, a biennial twilight fair and various fundraising activities.

We also invite members of our community to join our online business directory at B2Me.

To get involved, please speak with your child’s classroom teacher, or contact our Community Development Officer.

Community Service

Our students take part in many community service activities throughout the year, learning that serving others is both thankful of God and personally rewarding. Students serve each other and their community through volunteer work, fundraising stalls and College community events.

Mission Trips

Each year a group of Secondary students undertakes a mission trip to Thailand, seeing first hand the positive change they can have in the lives of others in the name of Christ. The students help teach English to schoolchildren, undertake maintenance work and engage with the local culture.
